నియమం – విగ్రహాల సొమ్ముని నాశనం చెయ్యాలి. ఇంటికి తీసుకురాకూడదు.
వారి దేవతల ప్రతిమలను మీరు అగ్నిచేత కాల్చివేయవలెను; వాటి మీదనున్న వెండిబంగారములను అపేక్షింపకూడదు. నీవు దానివలన చిక్కుబడుదువేమో గనుక దానిని తీసికొన కూడదు. ఏలయనగా అది నీ దేవుడైన యెహోవాకు హేయము. దానివలె నీవు శాపగ్రస్తుడవు కాకుండునట్లు నీవు హేయమైన దాని నీయింటికి తేకూడదు. అది శాపగ్రస్తమే గనుక దాని పూర్తిగా రోసి దానియందు బొత్తిగా అసహ్యపడవలెను. (ద్వితీయోపదేశకాండము 7:25-26)
The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the LORD your God.
Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Utterly abhor and detest it, for it is set apart for destruction. (Deuteronomy 7:25-26)

అప్పుడు శపిత మైనది యెవనియొద్ద దొరుకునో వానిని వానికి కలిగినవారి నందరిని అగ్నిచేత కాల్చివేయవలెను, ఏలయనగా వాడు యెహోవా నిబంధనను మీరి ఇశ్రాయేలులో దుష్కా ర్యము చేసినవాడు అనెను. (యెహోషువ 7:15)
He who is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the LORD and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel!”. (Joshua 7:15)

దోపుడు సొమ్ములో ఒక మంచి షీనారు పైవస్త్రమును రెండువందల తులముల వెండిని ఏబది తుల ముల యెత్తుగల ఒక బంగారు కమ్మిని నేను చూచి వాటిని ఆశించి తీసికొంటిని; అదిగో నా డేరామధ్య అవి భూమిలో దాచబడియున్నవి, ఆ వెండి దాని క్రింద ఉన్నదని ఉత్తరమిచ్చి తాను చేసినదంతయు ఒప్పుకొనెను. (యెహోషువ 7:21)
When I saw in the plunder a beautiful robe from Babylonia, two hundred shekels of silver and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. They are hidden in the ground inside my tent, with the silver underneath.” (Joshua 7:21)

వారిని రాళ్లతో కొట్టిన తరువాత అగ్నిచేత కాల్చి వారిమీద రాళ్లను పెద్ద కుప్పగా వేసిరి. అది నేటివరకు ఉన్నది. అప్పుడు యెహోవా కోపోద్రేకము విడినవాడై మళ్లుకొనెను. అందుచేతను నేటివరకు ఆ చోటికి ఆకోరు లోయ అనిపేరు. (యెహోషువ 7:25-26)
Joshua said, “Why have you brought this trouble on us? The LORD will bring trouble on you today.” Then all Israel stoned him, and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.
Over Achan they heaped up a large pile of rocks, which remains to this day. Then the LORD turned from his fierce anger. Therefore that place has been called the Valley of Achor ever since. ( Joshua 7:25-26)
